An intense day trip to Bagnoregio, Orvieto and Bomarzo, visiting three beautiful places among a landscape forged by a million years old extint volcano. In Orvieto you will visit the majestic Cathedral having a facade among the most beautiful in central Italy, before moving to Civita di Bagnoregio, an ancient town founded more than 2000 years ago on a top of a ravine accessible only through a pedestrian bridge. In both towns you will wander among picturesque alleys, between buildings made of "tufo stone" (a volcanic rock cut into perfect bricks) quite unique in Italy. Finally, you will visit Bomarzo and its Park of the Monsters, a garden housing huge statues of monstruous figures. This is a quite long, but extremely exciting day: if you would like a more relaxed excursion, we offer also tours to each individual destination or in combination of two.
