Olbia is located in northeastern Sardinia region (Italy), in the middle of the Mediterranean sea and thence Olbia is the ideal base for vacations to Costa Smeralda (Emerald Coast) and daily excursions to the many nearby attractions.

The Sa Paulazza castle comes instead from Byzantine / high medieval period and dominates, from an altitude of 234 meters, the entire Olbia gulf and valley.
